A EuroMillions player in Limerick city won a €500,000 top prize in the EuroMillions Plus draw after purchasing a Quick Pick ticket at Sean’s Shop on New Road in Johnsgate Village.
Purchasing the Winning Ticket in Limerick City
The winning ticket was bought on the day of the draw, Friday, October 23, 2026. The numbers drawn in the EuroMillions Plus fixture were 1, 11, 14, 40, and 45. National Lottery officials confirmed that over 47,000 players in Ireland won prizes during Friday night’s draws, but the Limerick ticket holder emerged as the largest individual winner of the evening.
Claiming the Half-Million Euro Prize
National Lottery spokesperson Emma Monaghan urged customers who shopped at the Johnsgate Village location to examine their slips closely. There could be a very exciting Bank Holiday weekend ahead for one EuroMillions player in Limerick who is now holding a €500,000 winning ticket,
Monaghan said.
Winners of major National Lottery prizes are instructed to sign the reverse of their ticket immediately and store it securely. Claimants can reach the Prize Claims team by calling 1800 666 222 or by emailing claims@lottery.ie to schedule a visit to Lottery Headquarters in Dublin.
Rolling EuroMillions Jackpots and Good Causes Funding
Because no ticket matched all the main numbers to claim the €70,191,680 jackpot on offer during the October 23 draw, the main prize rolls toward an estimated €80 million for the subsequent Tuesday drawing. National Lottery revenue continues to support community projects across Ireland, with nearly 30 cent of every euro spent going toward Good Causes in sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. The organization has generated over €7 billion for community initiatives since its establishment.
