Liverpool crushes Chelsea by four… and rises to the top of the English Premier League

Liverpool, who have not lost at Anfield this season in all competitions, have 51 points from 22 matches.

Manchester City, which has a game in hand, is in second place and is equal on points with Arsenal, who is in third place with 46 points, and Chelsea is in tenth place with 31 points.

Liverpool, whose 200th victory was under the leadership of Klopp, who announced last week his departure at the end of the current season, played with great intensity from the first whistle, and Chelsea struggled to leave their half of the field.

While Darwin Nunez shot seven times on Chelsea’s goal in the first half, Diogo Jota opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when he passed between two Chelsea defenders to score.

Bradley pushed the Anfield fans into a state of joy in the 39th minute when he shot a powerful ball into the far corner after a strong start.

The youngster from Northern Ireland then left a defender behind in the 65th minute before sending in a perfect cross which Soboslaj rose to head past Georgi Petrovic.

Christopher Nkunku reduced the deficit in the 71st minute, but Liverpool’s Luis Diaz responded with a goal eight minutes later, prompting Chelsea fans who attended the match to leave the stadium.

Liverpool shot 27 times, compared to four times for Chelsea, including 12 on target, most of them through Nunez, who also hit the post from a penalty kick in the first half.

The Uruguayan player became the first player since the 2003-2004 season to hit the woodwork four times in a Premier League match.

The referee rejected Chelsea’s request for a penalty kick twice after examining the video assistant referee technology, the first when Virgil van Dijk brought down his opponent Conor Gallagher and the second when the Dutch defender appeared to kick Nkunku.
