Liverpool face bad news, manager Klopp suspects COVID-19

On the way Busy Liverpool faced a bad news that prevented them from taking the lead in an important match against Chelsea.

Liverpool announced on the club’s website on the 2nd (Korean time) that “Manager Jurgen Klopp has tested positive for COVID-19 and is unable to play the league match against Chelsea.”

According to the club, Klopp, who is showing mild symptoms, is currently in quarantine.

Liverpool will play an away match against Chelsea in the 21st round of the 2021-22 EPL season at Stamford Bridge in London, England at 1:30 am on the 3rd.

Liverpool, who have not won in their last two league games, are having a hard time catching up with leaders Manchester City with 12 points widening. If they even lose their match against Chelsea, who are in second place in the league, they will be unbeaten in their last 3 matches, and the red light may come on even in the second consecutive league defeat. Klopp was unable to sit on the bench ahead of an important game, and an emergency was put in place.
