English Premier League (EPL) Liverpool forward Sadio Mane (30, Senegal) has moved to Germany’s Bundesliga Bayern Munich.

The Munich club announced on the 22nd (local time) that “Liverpool signed Mane. The contract period is until 30 June 2025.” According to the BBC, the transfer fee is 41 million euros (about 56.2 billion won).

Manet started living in Metz (France) in 2011, then went through Salzburg (Austria) and Southampton (England). Since 2016 he has played for Liverpool, scoring 120 goals in 269 appearances over six seasons.

With 16 goals in the EPL last season and 5 in the UEFA Champions League, Mane contributed a lot to Liverpool’s runners-up in the League and Champions League. In the 2018-2019 season, he scored 22 goals and became the joint top scorer in the EPL.

Senegal’s national team career is also splendid. After making his national team debut at the age of 20, he made 89 appearances and scored 31 goals. In 2019 he was named African Footballer of the Year by the African Football Federation (CAF).

“I am very happy to finally be here in Munich,” Mane said through the club. “We talked a lot,” he said. “I was interested in Munich from the very beginning.”

He continued, “I watched a lot of Munich matches while I was in Salzburg. I really like this club.”
