It will write the historical path to the Turkish century in golden letters. MHP is preparing for the local government elections to be held on March 31, 2024 with this belief. Ensuring that our municipalities are in safe hands in the Turkish and ‘Turkey Century’ is our most important responsibility towards our history and nation. There is no doubt that Turkey, united from the center to the local, will leave its mark on the next century,” he said.

‘MUNICIPALITIES ARE FALLING IN THE PRESCRIPT OF HOMARITY AND HOSTILITY’

Stating that the election declarations have 3 main themes, Durmaz pointed out that the first of them is ‘New Threats and Turkey’s Survival’ and said:

“Some of the processes, led by international interest groups, played by local collaborators who served their own interests, and in which plans were put into circulation in an effort to expand their sphere of influence and attempts were made to sow discord among our nation, were experienced, and some were prevented by the foresight of our nation. However, before each election, new strategies and It does not go unnoticed that this group, which emerged with tactics, did not stand idle and tried to sow unrest and discord with similar methods before the general elections of local administrations on March 31, 2024. For these reasons, MHP continues to stand determinedly against all unlimited attempts against the unity and integrity of our nation, and to maintain a strong stance from general to local for our country and our country. It will continue to act with the awareness that it will be the greatest answer to those with non-national ambitions who try to dominate our nation. An important issue that has been repeatedly expressed by our party and that the public is aware of is that the municipalities under the responsibility of opposition parties are experiencing the worst periods in their history. The municipalities in question do not produce works and services and are struggling in the grip of arrogance and hostility. “It is almost a necessity for this situation to change in the upcoming elections.”

‘DISCRIMINATION IS UNACCEPTABLE’

With MHP’s half-century experience in municipal services, its successful work, which has won the appreciation of the public, will continue and in the coming period, the peace and prosperity in our existing municipalities will increase even more. Our main goal is to bring together our citizens with the understanding of productive municipality by adding new ones to the existing municipalities. We will ensure that good practice examples are transformed and implemented with our staff who are aware of the importance of using the change and transformation processes taking place around the world, especially digital technology and artificial intelligence, in local government services. “Our understanding of productive municipalism is built on the basis of correctly identifying local needs and directing public resources accordingly,” he said.
