One-Way Traffic Control Returns

Jakarta — A local one-way traffic system has been reintroduced on the GT Change-KM 442 Bawen Semarang-Solo Toll Road. This traffic ‌engineering measure had⁤ been previously suspended.

According ​to a statement, the re-implementation of the one-way system, specifically from KM 414 Kalakang Toll Gate of the Batang-Semarang Toll Road up to KM 442 Bawen Semarang-solo Toll Road, is due to police discretion aimed​ at managing traffic during the Idul Fitri 1446 Hijri homecoming period.

The one-way system was put back in place⁤ at 1:25 p.m. local time, prompted by an observed increase in vehicle volume.

“The volume of vehicle traffic in the direction of Solo on⁤ the Semarang toll road section A, B, C has increased,” the⁣ statement noted.

Anticipating⁢ Peak Traffic

National Police Chief gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated​ that the peak of the homecoming travel flow, especially on the island of Java, began on Friday,⁣ March 28. Authorities anticipate this peak to continue through Saturday,⁢ March 29.
