LONELY troubles him and he lives like this

On Friday, January 26, the Slovak actor, entertainer, presenter, screenwriter and musician Oldo Hlaváček celebrates his 90th birthday.“In the first place is the meeting with my wife Božka many years ago. For me, she was, is, and will forever remain the greatest role model. As for work, she often helped me in writing and also in interpreting. These are domestic achievements, but I advise them before all the other accomplishments I’ve had,” he declared himself a jubilant for TASR.

We are celebrating this week visited his home, where he confided in us how he lives, how he dearly missed beloved wife Boženka, which he lost forever two years ago and how he feels about celebrating his 90th birthday. Mr. Hlaváček he welcomed us with open arms and a smile on his face despite the fact that on the day we were at his place, he slipped and fell to the ground in front of his house. He complained to us about pain on the right side of the buttock, but immediately remarked that it was nothing and that he was taking it as a sport. “I can’t believe that I’m already 90 years old! But I feel a little strange, because today I fell in front of the house, I slipped. My right lip hurts! (laughs)” he told us at the beginning of the interview.

“When I retired, I still had my golden wife Boženka at home. But why am I mentioning it now… I am here alone and being alone was what novels used to be written about. Robinson was alone, etc. I could also to write books about solitude, but I don’t want to,” he says. We were interested in what he does for a living and what makes his days pleasant. “In a house like this, the day is too short to clean, wash, mop…” the actor surprised us by saying that he still takes care of the household himself despite his venerable age. He even cooks himself, as he told us.

He immediately confided in us that he was troubled by loneliness and he cannot forget his beloved wife. Her presence still seems to feel at home. “It’s very unpleasant that I’m without a wife anymore,” they don’t hide. “We used to have a cat, dogs, three different breeds in a row. Also a rooster, two chickens… But now that my wife is in heaven… People think that I pass the time by reading. But I hate reading, because I used to write a lot myself, and when I think that someone read it, I feel sorry for them (laughs).” he says.

We will bring you the entire interview in tomorrow’s edition of Plus JEDEN DEN.
