Who are the Official Spokespersons?
Claudia Macero
Claudia Macero is a Venezuelan journalist and communicator with a degree in Social communication from the central University of Venezuela (UCV). She served as the Communication Coordinator for Vente Venezuela, leading communications for both the 2023 primary campaign and the 2024 presidential campaign supporting María Corina Machado and, subsequently, Edmundo González Urrutia. Macero sought asylum at the Argentine Embassy in Caracas and remained there until May 2025.
David Smolansky
David Smolansky is a Venezuelan leader and currently serves as Deputy Director of the convzla campaign. In this role, he represents María Corina Machado and Edmundo González Urrutia in Washington D.C.,providing security advice and acting as a spokesperson. Smolansky previously served as the mayor of el Hatillo, where his governance was noted for its transparency and success in reducing kidnapping rates. he was later removed from office and disqualified, leading to his exile. The Organization of American States (OAS) appointed Smolansky as a Special Envoy for the Venezuelan migrant and refugee crisis.
