Professor and cardiothoracic surgeon Magdy Yacoub expressed his confidence in the impact of the new initiative for human development, which will be officially launched in the coming days.
The National Human Development Project “A New Beginning for Human Construction” aims to increase investment in human capital, through a comprehensive program targeting human development and working to integrate Egyptians’ identity.
The project includes a coordinated approach between all sectors of the state, civil society, and non-governmental society in providing health, education, culture, sports, and employment opportunities, aimed at all classes of citizens, for all ages, benefiting equitably and effectively from state resources.
Professor Magdy Yacoub emphasized that the civilization and progress of the people are entirely dependent on culture, which needs extensive care from the government and the rest of the population, and this care is committed to health, education, training, and scientific research.
Yacoub added that he is absolutely convinced that the new project will have a great impact on this issue and is an extension of the interest and progress of the Egyptian civilization.
The National Human Development Project includes many sub-initiatives, such as the program for children aged 1 to 6 years, aimed at developing children’s skills, encouraging them to be creative, and taking care of their health.
The project also includes programs for the 6- to 18-year-old age group, including educational and training to improve their skills and markets to prepare them healthily, educationally, culturally, and physically for labor.
Additionally, the “Bedaya” project includes programs for adults aged 18 to 65 years or older, increasing capacity and qualifications for the labor market, as well as programs to support the elderly and community participation in preserving the values, ethics, and principles that represent authentic Egyptian identity.
