Majdi Al-Jallad: I smoke heavily… and I love potatoes

Journalist Magdy El-Gallad, editor-in-chief of the ONA Press and Media Group, which includes the websites (Masrawy – Yalla Koura – Al-Consulto – Shift), confirmed that his physical appearance does not suggest that he is a person who has a gluttony for food, pointing out that smoking represents his primary gluttony.

During his interview with the journalist Amira Badr, on the “Asrar” program on Al-Nahar TV, Al-Jallad said that he is a heavy smoker despite doctors’ advice to him to quit smoking. “My doctor said that no one can stop smoking cigarettes while he loves them.”

Al-Jallad added that he has a digestive system disease and suffers from colon problems. Despite that, he is a fan of roasted potatoes, peanuts, and basara. He continued, “I feel voracious toward spicy and salty food despite my health suffering because of it.”

During his interview, journalist Magdy El-Gallad touched on his statement about the artist Mohamed Ramadan, describing him as a viral artist, explaining: I deal with situations calmly and with great wisdom, and I tend to discuss away from anger, and my description of Ramadan as a viral artist, with my great appreciation for him, was the result of a moment of intense anger.

He continued: “I have not changed my opinion about Muhammad Ramadan. If God had blessed you with Qarun’s wealth, you would not have passed the lives of the poor people who consider Muhammad Ramadan to be one of their own.” A recent address to the artist Muhammad Ramadan: “Egypt has a lot of poor people and poverty rates are widespread, and poor people feel bitter when they see… Shows of extravagance, what will benefit the oppressed citizen when he sees you riding in a luxury car?

The “Asrar” program is presented by journalist Amira Badr on Al-Nahar TV daily during the month of Ramadan, at exactly nine-thirty in the evening, during which she hosts a number of stars of art, media, sports and politics in Egypt.
