Dublin, Ireland – A man in his 30s is in custody following a brutal assault on two off-duty police officers in dublin city centre early Sunday morning. The incident,described by authorities as “unprovoked,” occurred at the busy intersection of Dame Street and Eustace Street around 1:30 a.m.
one officer, in his 40s, remains in critical condition at Beaumont Hospital. The second officer was treated at St. James’s Hospital and later released.
