The Seoul Central Police Station announced on the 20th that at around 12:40 pm on the same day, at a lodging in Daegu, suspect B was arrested in the murder of woman A. Person B will be escorted to the central police station for investigation. Person A was a subject of personal protection from dating violence managed by the police, and suspect B is known to be a man in his 30s who was in a romantic relationship. Mr. B broke up with Mr. A about 6 months ago, but it is said that he continued to keep in touch and verbally abused him.

After reporting dating violence, on the 9th, the court issued a provisional measure against B, such as prohibiting access within 100 meters and access to information and communications. Person A was provided with accompaniment on the way home, protective measures on patrol, and temporary accommodation.

It is said that the incident occurred while A went to his home without police accompaniment. The previous day, around 11:29 and 11:33 minutes, the report was reported through a smart watch, but the police arrived at the scene in 12 minutes via the wrong location. A was found stabbed with a knife and taken to the hospital, but eventually died.
