A murder investigation is currently underway following the discovery of a man’s body in Newcastle, County Down. Police responded to a report received at approximately 10:30 PM on August 24, 2025, regarding a deceased individual found in the seaside town.

Upon arrival at the scene on Slievenabrock Avenue,officers discovered the body of a man in the garden of a residential property. Authorities believe the victim was in his 80s, though formal identification is pending.
