Arrested Suspect Claims Domestic Discord as Motive for Double Murder in Namyangju
A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a mother and daughter in a villa located in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province. The suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, reportedly admitted during a police investigation that domestic discord led him to commit the heinous crime.
The Southern Police Station in Namyangju wasted no time in apprehending the suspect, rapidly launching an investigation into the murders that shocked the community. Details reveal that the individual, referred to as Mr. A, confessed to being in a common law relationship with the deceased daughter in her 30s, highlighting a tumultuous history of frequent arguments as the motivation for his violent actions.
Late yesterday morning, Mr. A was apprehended by authorities at a location where he had sought refuge, believed to be an acquaintance’s residence. Simultaneously, the police are conducting autopsies on both the mother and daughter victims, while preparing to file an arrest warrant against Mr. A on murder charges.
The Namyangju Branch of the Uijeongbu District Court is scheduled to review the arrest warrant application tomorrow (23rd). It remains to be seen how the court will proceed in light of the substantial evidence against the accused perpetrator.

A man in his 50s who was arrested for murdering a mother and daughter in a villa in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, was reported to have stated during a police investigation that he committed the crime because of domestic discord.
The Southern Police Station in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, is hastily arresting a man in his 50s and investigating the murder of his daughter in her 30s and her mother in her 60s.
It is known that Mr A stated in the police investigation that he had a common law relationship with his daughter in her 30s who died and that he ‘quarreled often and committed crime because he was angry’.
Mr. is accused. Afterwards, the police arrested Mr. A, who fled to the house as an acquaintance at around 11am yesterday.
The police are applying for an arrest warrant for Mr A on charges of murder, while carrying out an autopsy on the victim’s mother and daughter.
The arrest warrant review for Mr A will be held tomorrow (23rd) at the Namyangju Branch of the Uijeongbu District Court.
