Manasa’s murder: Accused of giving guns brought to Kochi | Kerala | Deshabhimani

Manasa, a dental student, was shot dead in Nellikuzhi, Kothamangalam. Sonukumar (24) from Parsanto in Bihar’s Munger district and Manish Kumar Verma (24) from Barsad, a middleman, were brought to Kochi. The police team arrived with the accused at 6 pm on Sunday. Police said that two more accused are yet to be arrested in the case. Police received a picture of them in a vehicle with Rakhil and other arrested accused.

The accused who were brought to the office of Ernakulam Rural SP are being questioned in detail under the leadership of SP K Karthik. SP K Karthik told the media that the accused had confessed. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. He said a detailed investigation would be needed.

The phone numbers of some Malayalees have been received from Sonukumar’s phone. They will also check whether the gun has been purchased. Within six months, action was taken to collect information on those contacted on the defendants’ phone. The accused will be produced before the Kothamangalam Magistrate’s Court on Monday. A custody application will also be filed. In Bihar, Rakhil was trained to use a gun by Manish Kumar. Police have received footage of Manish giving weapons training in a rural area. The gun seen in the footage will also be examined to see if it was used to kill Manasa. The footage was found on Manish Kumar’s mobile phone.
