Goa International Film Festival concludes today with nine days and 148 films. Manoj Bajpayee and Madhuri Dixit will be the guests at the closing ceremony of the fair. During the nine-day festival, 148 films from 73 countries were screened. This time, 15 films will be shortlisted in the competition for the Golden Peacock Award.
The closing ceremony will be held at Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Auditorium in the evening. The closing film is ‘A Hero’ by Ashkar Farhadi. The best film will get a gold medal and Rs 40 lakh. The best director / director, actress and actor will get a silver medal and Rs 10 lakh.

Nikhil Mahajan’s Godavari, Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari’s May Vasantha Rao (Marathi films) and Amy Barua’s Dimasa language film ‘Senkhor’ have made it to the list.
The jury, which includes Iranian director Rakshan Banithemad, British producer Stephen Wooley, Colombian director Ciro Garera, Sri Lankan director Vimukhi Jayasundara and director and producer Nila Madhap Panda, selected the films for the international competition.
