Brooklyn Marcee, a senior student-athlete at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, is set to graduate in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in management. Her graduation marks the culmination of a college journey defined by balancing athletics, academics, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Marcee, a native of Quitman, Texas, has been a member of the university’s track and field team, competing in women’s pole vault, while simultaneously managing multiple responsibilities throughout her time at UA Little Rock. She has run her own business as a freelance makeup artist and remained actively involved in campus organizations, including the Student Activities Board, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and the Chancellor’s Leadership Corps, where she served as a mentor.

Her involvement extended to leadership roles that highlighted her impact on campus. In 2025, she served as the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Homecoming Royal, an experience she described as instrumental in shaping her leadership abilities and deepening her connection to the campus community. Reflecting on the role, she said it allowed her to represent the university at events such as Maroon Monday, BBQ at Bailey, and pep rallies, where she felt the unity and pride of students, faculty, staff, and alumni coming together.

Marcee’s academic and athletic excellence earned her recognition as an Ohio Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete, an honor awarded to only six student-athletes across the conference who demonstrate outstanding achievement in academics, athletics, and leadership. She credited her time at UA Little Rock with fostering intentional growth in confidence and critical thinking, noting that her experiences pushed her beyond her comfort zone and helped her discover strengths she had not previously recognized.

She emphasized that her coursework in business administration did more than teach professional skills — it challenged her to think about leadership, planning, and adaptability, especially when faced with unexpected outcomes. Over time, she developed into a goal-oriented thinker who values both results and relationships, learning that leadership is rooted in trust as much as in achievement.

Marcee expressed deep gratitude for her college experience, acknowledging that while the journey was often challenging and overwhelming, she remained committed because she knew the effort would be worthwhile. “I will forever be grateful for the time I had here,” she said, reflecting on the discipline, time management, and relationship-building skills she gained through balancing her many roles.

As she prepares to graduate, Marcee leaves UA Little Rock not only with a degree but with a legacy of multidisciplinary engagement — one that reflects her determination to excel in athletics, academics, business, and service to others.
