Hamill, who helped launch the Star Wars ​saga with “A New Hope” in 1977 alongside Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, believes the‍ franchise’s future lies with fresh faces and storylines.He⁤ emphasized his gratitude for his past involvement but indicated a desire to see ‍the ⁤series move forward.

The actor last played⁢ Luke⁤ Skywalker⁤ as a ​Force ⁢ghost in “Episode IX – The Rise of skywalker” (2019).He also appeared in “The Mandalorian” and⁢ “The Book of Boba Fett” through de-aging and ‍motion capture technology.
