Mask | Mask re-enforced in the state; Failure to do so will result in a fine

Thiruvananthapuram: The government has again made the mask mandatory in public places and workplaces in the state. Failure to wear the mask will result in a fine. The move comes at a time when Kovid is on the rise again in various parts of the country. The new decision is in accordance with the Disaster Management Act. But the order does not say how much the fine will be.

The mask was recently made mandatory again in states like Delhi and Tamil Nadu. In Delhi and Tamil Nadu, a fine of Rs 500 is imposed for not wearing a mask.

Karnataka has also tightened controls in view of the rising prevalence of Kovid disease. In addition to making the mask mandatory, the state health minister said that unnecessary gatherings should be avoided. K Sudhakar asked the people.

Social distance should be maintained in public places. The minister also urged the people to strictly abide by the Kovid defense guidelines. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bomme had convened an emergency meeting to assess the situation in the state in view of the recurrence of Kovid disease in the country.

It is estimated that the situation in Karnataka is now under control. But the mask was re-enacted as a precautionary measure in view of the rising incidence of the disease in other states. The mask has been made mandatory in Delhi and Tamil Nadu in view of the growing spread of the disease.

Kovid disease is on the rise again in the country. In the last 24 hours, 2541 people have been diagnosed with the virus. 30 deaths were also reported. TPR is also rising. In this context, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today convened a meeting of Chief Ministers to discuss the Kovid situation in the country.

The Center had relaxed the restrictions since March on the back of low intensity of Kovid spread. He was not fined for not wearing the mask. But Kovid is spreading again in many states. The new order is part of a precautionary measure, though Kovid does not currently have an outbreak in the state.
