Mauritania.. Majority leaders visit Ould Daddah to send several “messages” to Sahara Media

On Tuesday evening, members of the Coordination of Majority Parties in Mauritania visited the head of the Democratic Forces Bloc, Ahmed Ould Daddah, at his home in Nouakchott.

The rotating head of the Majority Parties Coordination, Mohamed Ould Maa El-Ainine Ayeh, head of the Insaf Party (the ruling party), explained that the visit came “to send a group of messages, the first of which is its concern for maintaining family ties and ensuring his health after his recent hospital trip.”

He added that the other message, “is the recognition by the leaders of the Coordination Parties of the role played by this great personality in establishing and building the Mauritanian state and developing democracy in our country despite the difficulties that his struggle faced.”

Ould Ayeh said that the third message “is directed to all Mauritanians through” Ould Daddah’s declaration of his “personal support” for President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani in the 2024 presidential elections, stressing that this is considered by the majority to be “the biggest addition we can get in this important period in the history” of the country. According to a brief published by the PTI on its page on the social networking site (Facebook).

It should be noted that the “Ettakatol” announced that Ould Daddah’s position on the presidential elections does not represent the party.

The committee assigned by the bloc’s executive to contact the presidential candidates held a meeting this evening with the candidate, Somare Otoma, and meetings will be held with the candidates in the coming days.
