Max Verstappen of Red Bull secured pole position for the 5th consecutive race, marking the 7th time this season and his impressive 27th overall.

Reflecting on the qualifying session, Verstappen expressed his thoughts:

“It was a challenging and chaotic qualifying session, with difficult track conditions at times. I encountered a minor incident in the pit lane where I lost control and went straight ahead. I believe there is some significant damage.”

“Despite that, I am pleased with the outcome. I am also happy for McLaren, as their performance has been impressive. The enthusiasm and hard work of their team were evident in the garage, and it’s a fantastic moment for the British fans. All is well.”

Verstappen also shared his expectations for the upcoming race:

“I anticipate Ferrari and Mercedes to pose a stronger challenge during the race. However, we have confidence in our competitive race car and eagerly anticipate the competition, even in wet conditions. In fact, we demonstrated good pace in the wet during FP3, so there is no need to worry.”

Red Bull F1 Team Principal Horner Reflects on Complicated Qualifying Session

Christian Horner, Team Principal of Red Bull, commented on the challenging qualifying session faced by the team.

“It was a complex and chaotic qualifying session for us, resulting in a bit of a mess. Despite this, Max Verstappen managed to secure pole position, showcasing his exceptional talent and determination.”

Horner also addressed Sergio Pérez’s disappointing qualification:

“We must analyze why Pérez qualified in 16th position. It is crucial to evaluate the circumstances surrounding this outcome and work towards rectifying it.”
