“There is criticism that calling only certain reporters on a private plane and spending time slandering the media, and that it is inappropriate. What do you think?”

[윤석열 대통령]

“For that, I… it’s my personal matter. I didn’t respond to any interviews. Now again…”

[MBC 기자]

“It was a public space.”

[윤석열 대통령]

“Aren’t you there yet?”

I drew the line saying it was a personal matter and would not answer further.

Immediately followed by questions about the private jet ban for MBC.

[윤석열 대통령]

“I hope you will feel free to criticize him. Expressions such as ‘fake news’, ‘stranger’, and ‘malicious behaviour’ appeared.

But the next question was not answered.

“What did MBC do maliciously? What was maliciously?”

[윤석열 대통령]

“……”

Two hours later, the president’s office issued a separate written briefing in the name of the deputy speaker.

He gave 10 reasons to answer MBC’s question, “What is malicious?”

Number 1, “I made subtitles for words that even voice experts couldn’t confirm and repeated them endlessly. This is malicious.”

In this way, the phrase “malicious” appeared 10 times in each category.

MBC issued a statement and said, “The president’s comments are public property, and the debate over slang comments should also be subject to active scrutiny and criticism.”

“The president’s baseless comments on media activities like this are fake news and malicious behavior, which is a threat that can undermine the constitutional value of freedom of speech,” he added.
