Singer MC Mong is vehemently denying recent allegations of involvement in prostitution, claiming the accusations are based on illegally obtained and misinterpreted footage. The controversy erupted after CCTV footage from his apartment building was released, prompting a swift and forceful response from the artist.

Speaking to Ilgan Sports on February 5, 2026, MC Mong directly addressed the claims, stating, “It was not prostitution. One of them is my girlfriend. Who prostitutes their own girlfriend?” His emotional response underscores the seriousness with which he is taking the allegations.

The initial report originated from claims made on the Sunday Journal YouTube channel and subsequently discussed on TV Chosun’s “Shintongbangtong” program on February 4, 2026. The broadcast featured elevator CCTV footage showing MC Mong with three women and one male acquaintance. Reports suggested the women were hostesses, leading to speculation about the nature of the gathering.

MC Mong offered a detailed account of the evening, clarifying the identities of those present. He explained that the man in the footage is a younger friend, one of the women is his girlfriend, another is an acquaintance of his girlfriend, and the third was someone he had met for the first time that day. He stated they spent approximately two to three hours together before he began discussing his recent departure from One Hundred Label with Chairman Cha Ga-won, at which point the women excused themselves to provide privacy.

He further emphasized that the footage depicts the group leaving the building, not entering, and characterized the gathering as a casual meeting with friends. “We spent about two to three hours together. Then, because I had decided to leave my company (One Hundred), I suddenly began discussing related matters with Chairman Cha Ga-won. The friends gave us privacy,” he explained.

MC Mong is also contesting the legality of how the CCTV footage was obtained. He claims no resident filed a complaint regarding potential prostitution within the building, and therefore the release of the footage was unlawful. “CCTV can only be released with a police report and cooperation from law enforcement, and a third party requires police presence to access it. I never received any resident complaints,” he stated, asserting the video was “clearly illegally obtained.”

The singer expressed outrage at the characterization of the evening, stating, “The people who turned an ordinary day into prostitution are no better than demons.” He also noted that the only interaction he had with building security was receiving two calls requesting him to lower the volume of his music.

This controversy follows previous allegations involving MC Mong, including claims of an affair with P-arc Group Chairman Cha Ga-won and accusations of overseas gambling. He had previously announced his intention to take legal action regarding the affair allegations in December 2025.

MC Mong recently released his eighth full-length album, “Channel 8,” in October 2019, and has been engaging with fans through online broadcasts while working on new music. He has left his position as chief producer at One Hundred Label.

The artist is now threatening legal action against those responsible for spreading the prostitution allegations, vowing to defend his reputation and the privacy of his personal relationships. He questioned the motives behind the accusations, asking, “Is it right to even bring up prostitution allegations and talk about my girlfriend like that?”
