Measles Infection Confirmed in San Diego County: Health Department on High Alert

The San Diego County Health Department is on high alert.

This is because a case of childhood measles infection was recently confirmed in San Diego County, which had not reported a single case of infection in the past five years as of 2019. The county health department announced on the 4th that “a child, of less than a year, he was hospitalized for measles.”

The Public Health Bureau is conducting an epidemiological investigation focusing on the public places that the child has recently visited and, in particular, has advised that if a child who has visited the four places below shows measles-like symptoms, he should seek immediate attention to a doctor.
