Medellín Hosts Colombia Women’s National Team Debut

The Colombian Football Federation (FCF) reports that Medellín has been designated as the city headquarters for the debut of the Women’s Colombia National Team at the Conmebol Women’s Nations League.

He Inaugural Meeting will be next Friday, October 24, 2025, when the national team faces the selection of Peru On date 1 of the competition.

He Mayor of Medellín, Federico Gutiérrez, officially confirmed to the FCF the availability of the city to house this commitmentwhich is part of the contest that will grant four quotas for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027: two direct and two for intercontinental repechage.

The championship It will be played between October 2025 and June 2026, under a system of all against all in a single phase. In total, nine days will be held: Each selections will face each other, while one will be free, thus guaranteeing the rotating rest of all teams.

In The tournament will participate the nine associations member of CONMEBOL, adding a total of 36 games that will bring together the best female teams in the regionsince Brazil is already classified as the championship.

The FCF invites the Colombian fans to accompany and encourage the team in this new challenge to the Women’s World Cup OF THE FIFA BRAZIL 2027.
