Healthcare Services at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

In addition to medical research affiliations, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has expanded its on-site healthcare infrastructure. On January 7, 2025, the airport, in coordination with the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, launched China’s first Treatment and Healthcare Service Center for Overseas Personnel.

The center was spearheaded by Guangzhou Modern Hospital, a medical facility located in the Tianhe district of Guangzhou. The facility is designed to provide a range of care amenities specifically for foreign nationals.

Available services at the center include:

  • Health consultations and medical advice
  • Rest zones
  • Wheelchair accessibility

During its trial operations, the center provided medical services to approximately 30 individuals daily and handled over 200 medical inquiries. The initiative is part of a broader effort by the Tianhe district to optimize specialized health consultation services and improve medical treatment models for expats in the city.

General passenger services at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport also include medical services, currency exchange, bank services, and an infant care room. Inquiries for these services can be made via the airport’s hotline at (+86)020-96158.
