Italian audio manufacturer Faital debuted its FaitalPRO 21XL3000 subwoofer driver at the CES Unveiled event in Milan, showcasing a 21-inch speaker that handles up to 6,000 watts of maximum power. Ljud & Bild reported that the flagship driver features a 6.5-inch voice coil and is built for massive air movement and high sound pressure levels rather than deep home theater sub-bass. FaitalPRO is the professional audio brand of Italian company Faital, which is today part of the Japanese Alps Alpine group, known among other things for Alpine car stereos. The 21XL3000 is the largest unit in the XL series, which also includes 15-inch and 18-inch woofer drivers.
Driver Specifications and Build Design
The 21XL3000 measures nearly 55 centimeters in diameter, stands almost 28 centimeters deep, and weighs 21.5 kilograms without a cabinet. Andrea Maniccia, head of marketing at Faital, stated that Bara talspolen i sig är stor som ett vanligt baselement: Den mäter rejäla 165 millimeter – eller 6,5 tum – i diameter
when speaking at CES Unveiled in Milan. The driver delivers a sensitivity of 98 decibels at 1 watt per meter across a frequency range spanning 30 to 1,500 Hz.

Linear excursion is rated at 17.67 millimeters, while maximum mechanical travel reaches 40 millimeters. The manufacturer integrated extensive ventilation around the voice coil to manage heat and limit distortion under heavy operating loads.
Professional Sound Deployment
With an AES power handling capacity of 3,000 watts, the unit targets professional audio applications such as large public address systems, concert setups, and fixed installations rather than compact lifestyle speakers. Because its lower frequency limit sits at 30 Hz, the driver is not tailored for the sub-20 Hz frequencies sought by some home theater hobbyists. American manufacturer Danley Sound Labs already incorporates the driver into its TH121 model, a horn-loaded subwoofer system capable of reaching down to 24 Hz and producing sound pressure levels up to 145 decibels.
Retail Availability and Pricing
Consumers wishing to construct custom high-output subwoofers can purchase the driver separately. The Norwegian outlet of retailer Thomann lists the 8-ohm version for approximately 12,000 kroner per unit, requiring buyers to supply an appropriate amplifier, a robust cabinet, and compatible acoustic treatment for their listening space.
