Menofia Governor Announces £37 Million Investment in Youth and Sports Projects
Menofia Invests Millions in Youth and Sports Growth
Menofia, Egypt – In a move to empower young people and promote a healthy lifestyle, Menofia Governor Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun announced a significant investment in the region’s youth and sports sector. Over £37 million will be poured into 18 service projects during the current financial year.
“We are committed to supporting our youth and providing them with the resources they need to thrive,” saeid Governor Abu Laymoun. “Investing in sports and recreation is crucial for building a strong and healthy community.”
Dr. Samir Karam, Undersecretary of the Ministry of youth and Sports, detailed the ambitious plan. Seven artificial turf fields will be replaced and renovated at youth centers across the region, including Mit Shahala, Al-Dalatun, Issam, dokma, and Bekhati.New facilities have already been completed at Shebin Al-Qoum Center in Al-Akhmas and Al-Shahid Fikri,as well as Barkat Al-Sabah in Saada.
Construction is also underway for a new administrative building at Al-Wahda Club in Shabrabus, while Shebin Al-Qoum and Al-Shuhadar Hajr Island Youth Centers will see upgrades to their existing facilities.
The plan also includes expanding the base of sports practice and competition by constructing administrative buildings at Quesner Arab Raml Sports Club and enhancing the capacity of the Toukh Tanabsha youth Administrative Building.
Further improvements will be made with the installation of legal artificial grass fields at Arab Al-Ramal Club in Quesna, as well as in the centers of Birkat El-Sabah, Shebin El-Qoum, Al-Tarana Maritime District, and Saadat Al-Khatahtaba Al-Mahatta. Sars Al-Layan and Mit Khalaf Club will also benefit from the replacement and renovation of their existing fields.
This investment aligns with the national strategy for youth and sports development, which aims to harness the energy and potential of young Egyptians.
