Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its updated flagship sedan. The S-Class retains a familiar exterior appearance.
However, the changes are considerable beneath the surface. While the interior sees some revisions, the core updates lie in the vehicle’s technology - both hardware and software. These enhancements solidify the S-Class’s position as a leader in automotive technology.
Today, January 29th, marks the 140th anniversary of Karl Benz’s patent for the first gasoline-powered automobile, the Benz Patentwagen. On January 29, 1886, the world changed fundamentally, though perhaps even the inventor didn’t fully grasp the impact at the time.Fittingly, Mercedes chose today to reveal the facelifted S-Class, which, despite the updates, appears largely unchanged. Modifications include a revised front grille, new headlights, and an illuminated star emblem. Inside, the S-Class features the expansive screen configuration comprised of three displays, paired with an even more advanced augmented reality head-up display. The model will continue to be offered in two wheelbase lengths, with the engine lineup remaining largely consistent. The range of individualization options, though, has been expanded.
