Michael Jackson and John Lennon Collectibles for Sale.. Who’s Buying? – News from Saudi Arabia
The Prop Store is preparing to host a public auction Friday, Nov. 15, to sell more than 350 pieces of rare memorabilia from the world of music. Michael Jackson’s jacket and the first speaker used by Beatles star John Lennon are expected to fetch tens of thousands of pounds.
On display are musical instruments, handwritten lyrics and autographs, a collection of late music stars such as George Michael, Prince and Jimi Hendrix, as well as current artists such as singer Harry Styles and hip-hop star Stormzy.
Among the most prominent exhibits is a black and gold jacket from the collection of Norwegian rapper Omar Bhatti, a friend of the Jackson family, valued at between 200,000 and 400,000 pounds sterling. It will also display a painting of Michael Jackson’s handwritten lyrics to the song “Beat It” and is estimated at between £40,000 and £80,000.
Lennon’s amplifier, which dates from 1962, is estimated to cost between 100,000 and 200,000 pounds sterling, in addition to the “Life with the Beatles” booklet signed by the band members, which can sell for between 10,000 and 20,000. Pound sterling
