Microsoft is launching a new Teams Premium paid tier, unlocking features like AI citations, translation and scheduling

Microsoft

Video conferencing tools are developing rapidly, and many companies are replacing traditional conferencing with them. Microsoft hopes to make its Teams a standalone product, and today announced the launch of the paid tier Teams Premium, allowing advanced users to unlock more and different functions. Unsurprisingly, a lot of paid and unique content is delivered through AI, including automatic analysis of meeting content, and generating relevant follow-up lists and personalized quotes, allowing users to more easily review meeting content . There will also be real-time subtitles, supporting 40 different languages.

For users who will be discussing sensitive content through video conferences, such as doctors and consultants, they can also unlock the screen watermark function through a Premium subscription to prevent the conference content from being easily stolen and leaked.

The price and launch date of Teams Premium is currently unknown, and it is not known whether existing Microsoft 365 subscribers will pay extra.
