Microsoft unveils Surface Laptop 5, Surface Pro 9 and Studio 2+ in Taiwan

Although Hong Kong is a little slower, the Surface Pro 9, Surface Laptop 5 and Surface Studio 2+ that Microsoft released earlier this month are finally coming to Taiwan today. But only the Laptop 5 is available today, the other two will have to wait until mid-November.

The Taiwan Surface Laptop 5 also has two options of 13.5 and 15 inches. Compared to the previous generation, there are not many changes except for replacing the Core processor to 12th generation and a Thunderbolt 4 port. The 13.5 version has -inch panel 3: 2 with a resolution of 2,256 x 1,504 and can have a processor i5-1235U or i7-1255U, 8GB or 16GB of RAM, and SSD 256GB or 512GB; the 15-inch version has a resolution of 2,496 x 1,664 The 3:2 panel, only the i7 processor is available, with 8GB or 16GB RAM, and 256GB / 512GB / 1TB SSD. In addition to platinum, sandstone gold, and fog black, Surface Laptop 5 also has a new color of “Morandi Green”. The cheapest suggested price is the i5 / 8GB / 256GB 13.5-inch version, priced at NT $ 29,888; while the most expensive 15-inch i7 / 16GB / 512GB version is NT$54,688.

Surface Pro 9 has a 13-inch 2,880 x 1,920 (3: 2) screen, but the processor is divided into a regular version that has Intel Core i5-1235U or Core i7-1255U, and a 5G version with Microsoft SQ3 processor . The first can have 8GB / 16GB / 32GB memory and 128GB / 256GB / 512GB / 1TB SSD; while the latter can have 8GB / 16GB memory and 128GB / 256GB / 512GB SSD. Surface Pro 9 is available in sapphire blue, forest green, platinum, and graphite, while Pro 9 5G is only available in platinum. This won’t go on sale until November 8, with suggested prices starting from NT$29,888.

Finally, the Surface Studio 2+ is an “improved” version of the Studio 2 AIO, with a 28-inch 4,500 x 3000 3:2 resolution panel and a laptop RTX 3060 GPU, but the processor is still 11th generation Intel Core i7-11370H . Other specifications include 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD, and it is expected to be available in Taiwan on November 15, with a suggested price starting from NT$134,888.
