Caracula Detective Agency, a popular YouTube channel, has made shocking allegations regarding fencer Nam Hyun-hee and her former boyfriend Jeon Cheong-jo. According to private investigator and YouTuber Caracula, Nam Hyun-hee has received a staggering amount of at least 1 billion won in cash and goods from Jeon Cheong-jo.
In a recent video titled “Who won the most,” Caracula presented evidence suggesting that Nam Hyun-hee was gifted a Bentley Bentayga by Jeon Cheong-jo. The registration details of the car confirmed that it was owned by Nam Hyun-hee and not a rented or leased vehicle. Additionally, the absence of a mortgage indicates that the vehicle was purchased in full using cash.
Caracula disclosed, “The car was bought on June 5th from a Bentley store as a brand new car, costing a whopping 380 million won. When considering the acquisition tax and various registration fees, the total donation from Jeon Cheong-jo exceeds 400 million won in cash.”
Furthermore, Caracula revealed that Jeon Cheong-jo also paid off Nam Hyun-hee’s debt of 140 million won. Taking all these contributions into account, the total sum given by Jeon Cheong-jo to Nam Hyun-hee amounts to approximately 540 million won. Caracula emphasized that if luxury items like Hermes and Chanel gifts were included, the value of goods provided to Nam Hyun-hee exceeds 1 billion won.
Curiously, Caracula questioned the source of this substantial amount of money. He alleged that not only was it ill-gotten gains, but it also involved investments from Nam Hyun-hee’s own relatives. Caracula cautioned that if Nam Hyun-hee were to hide or keep the gifts purchased with Jeon Cheong-jo’s criminal proceeds, she too could face punishment for her involvement.
Caracula accused Nam Hyun-hee of taking moral responsibility for Jeon Cheong-jo’s fraudulent actions and stressed her obligation to repay the damages caused. He suggested that rather than denying any knowledge of the situation, Nam Hyun-hee should admit to receiving a certain amount of cash and goods from Jeon Cheong-jo. Caracula called for transparency and for Nam Hyun-hee to outline her plans for returning even a small portion of the funds to the victims.
The short-lived marriage between Jeon Cheong-jo and Nam Hyun-hee, with a significant age difference of 15 years, ended abruptly after just three days when Jeon Cheong-jo’s infidelity came to light through media reports.
On October 31st, Jeon Cheong-jo was arrested and taken to Songpa Police Station in Seoul on charges of fraud and attempted fraud. He has also been booked for criminal assault against Nam Hyun-hee’s nephew. In an interview released a day prior, Jeon Cheong-jo admitted his fraudulent actions, expressing remorse and pledging to face the consequences.
