Minister R Bindu Faces Opposition from KSU Worker

Minister R Bindu faced protests from KSU workers as she addressed the media in Thiruvananthapuram. During her statement, the minister expressed her belief that there was an attempt to single her out as a woman minister. She defended her decision to claim a refund for the cost of purchasing glasses as a matter of law.

Addressing the media, Minister R Bindu emphasized that she is a literate individual with computer skills and had purchased an appropriate pair of glasses for herself. She lamented the misinterpretation of her actions, attributing it to a politically motivated act. The minister also called out Congress leaders for taking undue advantage of similar benefits, citing specific examples of MLAs Eldos Kunnappilly and TJ Mae Vinod.

Following a negative portrayal of the issue by the Mahila Congress, Minister R Bindu found herself compelled to address the involvement of Congress leaders, specifically referencing a demonstration where a pair of glasses was held up as a symbol of dissent.

Amidst the protests, the minister pointed out the historical context of KSU as a product of the liberation struggle against the communist government in Kerala. However, she criticized the lack of democratic sensibility and self-opposition within the organization.

Addressing speculation linking the protests to the Keralavarma college election, Minister R Bindu condemned the targeting and vilification of individuals who contribute to the progress and success of the people of Kerala.

The minister’s press conference was not without interruption as KSU workers staged a protest at the venue, resulting in the arrest and removal of female activists by the police.

KSU has history. KSU is a child of the liberation struggle formed to overthrow the communist government that came to power after the birth of Kerala. Unfortunately, KSU is an organization that does not have the tact to see things democratically, and KSU is against itself. While drawing attention to the protest, the minister said.

It is not related to Keralavarma college election in any way. The minister added that it is condemnable to search and attack someone who cannot tolerate the participation and success of the people in Kerala.

Meanwhile, KSU workers protested at the place where the minister was holding a press conference. The police arrested female activists and removed them from the protest.
