Man Survives Being Shot in the Head with a Bullet Lodged in His Forehead

A shocking incident occurred in the Brazilian state of Pará, where a man was shot in revenge by a friend of the deceased after he had committed a murder. The bullet hit his head, but miraculously, it got stuck in his forehead and embedded in his skull, allowing him to survive.

The incident took place in Saint Lucia, where local man Antônio Neles Gomes de Abreu stabbed his enemy to death outside a convenience store attached to a gas station. The victim died at the scene. Friends of the deceased, Luiz Fernando Andrade, immediately drew his gun in retaliation, pointing it directly at Antônio, who was shot in the head. Luiz fled the scene after the attack.

How Did the Bullet Get Stuck in His Forehead?

Online videos show Antônio, wearing a red T-shirt, being subdued by the police, with a bullet lodged in his forehead. The front end of the bullet had penetrated his skull, and the back end of the bullet was clearly visible. According to reports, the bullet may have been stored at a low temperature for a long time, causing the gunpowder to cool down, resulting in the bullet dropping slowly and failing to penetrate the skull.

Antônio has been sent to hospital for treatment under police guard and will continue to be investigated for murder after his release.
