The Mizkan Group and the City of Kyoto have begun proposing “Mottai Nabe,” a menu that allows you to eat all of Kyoto’s vegetables deliciously without wasting any waste, as a menu that is both delicious and contributes to reducing food waste. This year, the fifth year of the initiative, we have developed seven new easy and delicious recipes to help support household finances by eating up all the vegetables and locally produced ingredients that tend to be left over.
New menu items for Mottai Nabe include “Oden-style nabe” that uses daikon radish, “Oden-style nabe” that uses daikon radish, “Kujo green onion shabu-shabu” that also tastes like soup, and “Taitoki Kuna Aqua Pazza-style hotpot.” .
In addition to the X campaign, in which 50 people will receive 5,000 yen worth of Quo Card Pay, the campaign will be held nationwide until October 28th, and “Mottai Nabe” recipe books will be installed and distributed at supermarkets and other locations mainly in Kyoto Prefecture.
As an initiative with Kyoto Prefecture, we will sponsor the “Kyoto Prefecture Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Festival 2024” to be held at the Kyoto Prefectural General Exhibition Hall (Kyoto Pulse Plaza) on November 30th and December 1st, and we will be holding a sampling of hotpot soup and “Motai Nabe”. ” Introducing recipes.
We also collaborate with Kyoto Family, a shopping mall consisting of approximately 60 specialty stores, Kyomi, which sells fresh Kyoto vegetables, and Yamato Gakuen, which operates Kyoto Culinary College. From November 1st to November 30th, we will be running a campaign titled “Let’s eat all the delicious seasonal food with ‘Mottai Nabe.”
“Hot pot recipes that use up all the ingredients” devised by the Kyoto Culinary College will be presented at each of the five Kyoto Family stores that handle fresh foods. A total of 100 people will receive “Kyoto Family App Points,” “Gift certificates for 5 fresh food stores,” and “Mitsukan Hot Pot Set.”
