MLB Opening Day in Japan: Dodgers vs. Cardinals Live Broadcast Schedule on ABEMA and NHK

MLB begins in its home country on March 29, Japan time. ABEMA will broadcast live four straight games between the Dodgers, who have Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and the Cardinals, who have Lars Nootvar. The first game on the 29th and the third, in which Yoshinobu Yamamoto is scheduled to pitch, will be broadcast live for free.

The home opener on the 29th will be broadcast for free starting at 5:10. Tsuyoshi Nishioka, a former professional baseball player who also played for the Minnesota Twins, and MLB analyst Ryoichi Fukushima will be on hand to provide commentary.

The second match on the 30th will be streamed to ABEMA Premium members from 11.10am. Commentators include Ryota Igarashi, who played for the New York Mets, Hideki Okajima, who played for the Boston Red Sox, and MLB reporter AKI Inose.

The third match on the 31st will be streamed for free from 10.10am on March 31st, while the fourth and final match will be streamed for ABEMA Premium members from 8.10am on April 1st.

Additionally, on April 6, Seiya Suzuki’s Cubs-Dodgers game will be broadcast live for free starting at 3:20 am. The first of three-game series between the Dodgers and Padres will be broadcast live for free starting at 11:10 a.m. on April 13.

The four-game series of Dodgers vs. Cardinals starting from the 29th will also be broadcast on the NHK BS/BS subchannel, J SPORTS, SPOTV NOW, etc. The Dodgers vs. Cardinals on the 29th will be broadcast/streamed on NHK from 4.45pm, J SPORTS from 5.05pm and SPOTV NOW from 5pm.
