Modeste leads Al-Ahly’s attack against CS Belouizdad in Algeria in the Champions League

Swiss coach Marcel Kohler, Al-Ahly’s coach, announced the formation of the team for the match between CS Belouizdad, scheduled to be held at July 5 Stadium, in the African Champions League.

The Al-Ahly formation includes:

Goalkeeper: Mustafa Schubert.

Defense line: Mohamed Hani, Yasser Ibrahim, Mohamed Abdel Moneim, and Ali Maaloul.

Midfield: Akram Tawfiq, Marawan Attia, Imam Ashour, Hussein Al-Shahat, and Taher Mohamed Taher.

Offensive line: Modeste.

Sitting on the Al-Ahly substitutes bench in front of CS Belouizdad are:

Hamza Alaa, Rami Rabia, Amr Al-Soulia, Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Karim Nedved, Karim Fouad, Karim Al-Dabis, Reda Selim, and Mahmoud Kahraba.

Al-Ahly leads the standings of the fourth group of the group stage of the African League Championship with 5 points, followed by Young Africans in second place with the same score, then CS Belouizdad comes third with 4 points, and finally Ghana’s Medeama with the same score.

Al-Ahly enters tonight’s match sitting at the top of the group with 5 points, followed by Young Africans in second place with the same score. Then CS Belouizdad comes third with 4 points, and finally Ghana’s Medeama with the same score.

11 players will be absent from the match: Wissam Abu Ali, Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mahmoud Metwally, Ahmed Abdel-Qader, Ahmed Nabil Koka, Khaled Abdel-Fattah, Mohamed El-Dawy Christo, and Percy Tao Diang due to injury, while the duo Omar Kamal and Mahmoud El-Zanfali are absent due to not being registered on the African roster.

Tonight’s match comes after a long hiatus due to the recent African Nations competitions, which were hosted and won by Côte d’Ivoire, which Egypt bid farewell to in the round of 16, while Algeria bid farewell to them in the group stage.

The Al-Ahly delegation arrived in Algeria yesterday evening, Wednesday, and the team participated in a single training session in Algeria in preparation for the expected tonight’s confrontation. The Red Giants prepared for the match through more than one stage, most notably the external camp in the Emirates, which was absent from international players.
