The visit highlights the completion of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) and the flagging off of new Vande bharat Express trains.
The Prime Minister’s itinerary includes dedicating the USBRL, a 272-kilometer railway project featuring 36 tunnels and 943 bridges, providing all-weather rail connectivity to the Kashmir Valley.Additionally, Modi will launch two Vande Bharat Express trains connecting Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Srinagar, enhancing travel options for residents and tourists.
Beyond rail,Modi will lay foundation stones for multiple road projects,including the Rafiabad-Kupwara road widening and the construction of the Shopian bypass.
