Charles Leclerc topped the time sheets in Monaco Grand Prix practice, overcoming an early incident with Lance Stroll.The Ferrari driver demonstrated strong one-lap pace, setting a benchmark for the weekend. The session wasn’t without drama, as Leclerc’s Ferrari made contact with stroll’s Aston Martin, resulting in damage to both cars.
The collision occurred when stroll appeared to veer into Leclerc’s path during a slow lap. The incident damaged Leclerc’s front wing,but he was able to continue. Stroll, however, was sidelined with rear suspension damage and a necessary gearbox change. stewards handed Stroll a one-place grid penalty for the race, citing a lack of awareness.
despite the early setback,Leclerc remained optimistic. “I have been feeling pretty good with the car,” Leclerc saeid. ”It hasn’t started the way I wanted with the crash with Lance, but after that it has been pretty smooth and I am happy overall with the car.” He emphasized the importance of a strong qualifying performance, stating, “Qualifying is going to be fundamental and we have to be starting in front if we want to have a good result.”
