Monstrous equipment. A brand that anyone interested in PC hardware will probably have heard of at least once. He has become known for his custom keyboards and is also known as a specialty manufacturer and distributor of various tuning components. It boasts a wide range of not only audio devices such as Bluetooth headphones and earphones, but also various gaming devices such as mice, pads, rubber bands and monitors. I think it has been consistently loved because it not only deals with a variety of products, but also has many products with good value for money.

“Monsta Monster Gear CREW GT PRO Wired and Wireless”, which will be introduced in this review, is an upgraded version of the current CREW GT and is equipped with a gaming-specific sensor “PAW3395”, which achieves clear specifications of 1,000 Hz, 26,000 DPI, 220IPS and 50G. It has a light weight of 62g, a matte finish and a silicone wheel and is equipped with Kailh’s GM 8.0 switch to minimize slipping and you can see that care has been taken to ensure high quality grip and durability. It is a wired and wireless product equipped with a 300mAh battery and has 1 year warranty. Let’s check how it actually looks through the review.

package box. Starting from the product name, you can check the main specifications, color, seal, etc. Like most gaming mice, the structure of this product itself is simple.

Unpacking. The first thing that catches your eye is the “Monsta Monsta Gear CREW GT PRO Wired and Wireless” gaming mouse. While the product introduced in the DB was a slightly light pastel yellow, the actual product is closer to a bright lemon color. Below this, the cable and user manual are supplied as standard.

The all-yellow matte color is applied and the wheel buttons are highlighted with a different color. Except for the side buttons, it has a symmetrical structure so it can be used with either hand.

Separate buttons are preferred by most gamers because they provide a clearer sense of distinction between left and right than integrated buttons. If you just look at the front and back housing, it looks fine, but if you look at it from the side, you can see something different.

The general finish is quite neat. It’s not clear in the photo, but if you look closely, you can see that a slight curve has been added to the side housing for the grip.

The size of the mouse is approximately 125 × 63.5 × 40mm. Even though the case is not perforated, it is quite light. The actual measured value of 63 g excluding the receiver is not significantly different from the value indicated in the specifications. It can be seen as a product optimized for gaming environments such as FPS or AOS that require fast operation.

Bottom. The power supply is located at the top, bottom and center of the sensor, the ON/OFF switch and the RPS switch are also visible next to it. The main sensor uses PIXART’s PMW-3395 sensor and has specifications comparable to high-end products, with a maximum sensitivity of 26,000 DPI, a maximum polling rate of 1,000 Hz, a tracking speed of 650 IPS and acceleration of 50 G. Under the sensor there is a space to store the receiver. However, it is disappointing that the storage part is a little less sturdy. It is not a problem in use, but caution is required when opening and closing.

My hand size is not that big, about F9.5. It was difficult to find any discomfort caused by the gripping method when holding the mouse. Since it has a decent symmetrical design, I personally felt more comfortable when using it with the palm grip. Of course this is just a personal preference and differences may occur depending on the user.

The switch applied was Kailh’s GM 8.0 switch. Since it lasts for 80 million cycles, it is a popular switch among those who replace switches via one-time purchase. It has a similar feel compared to the popular Omron China, but feels relatively lighter and more cheerful. The meaning of the distinction is also clear. Keypressure in the official spec is the same as 0.74 ± 0.05 N, but keep in mind that this is also a subjective assessment. Above all, I liked the feel of the matte-coated material, which felt good in the hand, and I could confirm once again that attention was paid to the coating and finish.

Dedicated program. It can be downloaded from the official Monster Gear website. DPI, macro and key settings, battery level control and various mouse settings are possible, so we recommend gamers to use it actively.

Since it has a built-in 300mAh battery, it is expected to provide ample usage time when fully charged. It’s a shame that this part isn’t mentioned in the specs. Simple and modern design Above all, the combination of a light mouse of around 60 g and a light Kyle switch is quite good. Even when used for long periods of time in a real gaming environment, regardless of grip, there was no strain on the hands and wrists and little sweating.

The “Monsta Monster Gear CREW GT PRO Wired/Wireless” we’ve reviewed so far features a PAW3395 sensor and Kyle GM 8.0 switch and is a high-spec 26,000 DPI gaming mouse, offering a satisfying grip and click. It’s also lightweight (60 g) and prevents fatigue even when used for long periods of time. The detailed settings can also be changed via a dedicated program, and the compatibility is good thanks to the USB Type-C charging terminal. Even if you only compare the specifications, it is not at all inferior to the flagship products, and the price is relatively cheap, so if usually you like FPS or AOS games, you won’t regret buying it at all. If you’re looking to buy a gaming mouse, I recommend putting it on your shopping list and comparing.
