The Honourable Adam van Koeverden, Secretary of State for Sport, stated that hosting the event showcases Canadian communities on the global stage and inspires new athletes. Provincial officials echoed those expectations. Amélie Dionne, Minister of Tourism, said that competitions of this magnitude strengthen Québec’s reputation as a premier sports destination while highlighting the professionalism of the local tourism industry.
