Mothers of Gaza spend the first day of Eid next to the graves of their children Program news

The residents of the Gaza Strip spent the first day of Eid al-Fitr next to the graves of their relatives who died during the Israeli aggression, as the joy of the day was almost completely absent from them due to the high price they paid during this devastating war.

Al Jazeera correspondent Ismail Al-Ghoul monitored the Eid celebrations in Gaza City, and met some of the mothers of the martyrs who were keen to visit the graves of their children on the morning of Eid.

One of the fathers said from among the cemeteries that the residents of the Gaza Strip do not feel any joy, and that they only have patience, while one of the mothers said that there is no home in the Gaza Strip that is devoid of worry.

Another said that she remembered her son (Nimer), who used to visit her, kiss her, and bring her food every Eid morning, stressing that she had nothing but patience and patience, while the mother of another martyr spoke of her son as she cried and recounted what he was doing to her on that day.

On the other hand, a resident of the Gaza Strip said that they are trying to make the children happy with whatever capabilities they have, despite the bombing and destruction they are experiencing, and one of the children said that they will continue to search for joy, whatever their situation.
