MS Dhoni CSK | “Chennai without Dhoni and Dhoni without Chennai”; N Srinivasan has made it clear that he will not let go of his ‘head’

Chennai Super Kings franchise owner and former BCCI president N Srinivasan has said that MS Dhoni will be with the Chennai team in the next IPL 2022. Srinivasan was speaking to the media after visiting the Tirupati Venkateshwara Temple with the IPL title.

“There is no Chennai without Dhoni and there is no Dhoni without Chennai,” he said, adding that he did not intend to leave the team’s captain Dhoni. Srinivasan said it was not yet clear how many players could be retained in the IPL next season. Srinivasan also criticized the Chennai team for not having a single player from Tamil Nadu.

The 13 players who are part of the Tamil Nadu Premier League play in various teams in the IPL and some of these players play for the Indian team. Today, the league has traps not only in Tamil Nadu but also outside the state. It will only get stronger in the coming years. Srinivasan said that when Dhoni returns to Chennai after the T20 World Cup, he will be celebrating his IPL title. Dhoni is Team India’s mentor in the T20 World Cup. After the tournament, Dhoni will travel to Chennai to present the IPL trophy to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin at a victory ceremony at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Srinivasan said.

Srinivasan, who is also a member of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Trust Board, returned after worshiping the IPL crown at the temple. Sreenavasan’s daughter and Tamil Nadu Cricket Association president Rupa Gurunath and Chennai team CEO Kashi Viswanathan were also present with Sreenavasan.

MS Dhoni’s Chennai beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 27 runs to win the IPL 2021 Final. Chennai, who finished seventh in the IPL last season and then dropped out of the Chennai playoffs for the first time in IPL history, made a strong comeback this time.

There have been rumors that Dhoni will be out of cricket this IPL season. There have been reports that Dhoni will announce his retirement and continue as CSK’s advisor next season. However, Dhoni has made it clear that fans will be able to watch him play at his home ground in Chennai next season.
