Multiple Deaths Reported in Sarasota Home Shooting; No Survivors Found

SARASOTA, Fla. – A shooting in a Sarasota gated community has left multiple people dead, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at a home on Fallcrest Circle in the Amberlea subdivision.

Deputies responded to a 911 call from a neighbor at approximately 12:24 p.m., arriving on scene just five minutes later, at 12:29 p.m. Authorities confirmed there were no survivors at the scene.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office stated the shooting appears to be an isolated incident, and there is currently no threat to the public. A weapon was recovered at the scene, but officials have not yet identified the victims or a suspect.

“There were multiple victims dead after a shooting at a home in the Amberlea subdivision,” stated a press release from the Sheriff’s Office. The investigation remains active, with deputies continuing to search the home and interview witnesses.

The area surrounding Fallcrest Circle was heavily populated with law enforcement personnel as authorities investigated. Residents reported a significant police presence on Proctor Rd. And Mcintosh Rd., and were advised to avoid the area.

Authorities have not released the identities of those killed, and next-of-kin notifications are still pending. Crime Scene, Forensics, Victim Advocates, Criminal Investigations, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, and the Patrol Bureau are all involved in the ongoing investigation.

The Amberlea subdivision is a gated residential community. Neighbors described the area as relatively safe, noting that incidents of this nature are unusual for the neighborhood.

Sarasota is located on Florida’s Gulf Coast, approximately 1.5 hours south of Tampa and 2.5 hours northeast of Orlando.
