Multiple Arrests Made in Connection with Murkanikara Murder Case

Thrissur City Police Commissioner Ankit Asokan made a significant announcement today, stating that all the suspects involved in the unfortunate murder incident at the Murkanikara festival have been apprehended. The shocking incident took place during a dispute that unfolded during the vibrant dancing festivities of the Thrissur Moorkanikara Kummati celebration. Akhil, a 28-year-old resident of Mulayam, tragically lost his life as he was fatally stabbed during the altercation. The suspects in custody have been identified as Vishwajit, Brahmajit, Ananthakrishnan, Akshay, Sriraj, and Jishnu. It is crucial to note that these individuals have a history of criminal activity and misconduct.

Unrest Marred Onam Celebrations Leading to Fatalities

Yesterday, Thrissur witnessed widespread clashes at three distinct locations during the auspicious Onam festivities, resulting in devastating consequences. Shockingly, two individuals lost their lives in the mayhem. The deceased have been identified as Akhil from Mannuthi Mulayam and Karunamayi from Nedupuzha. Disturbingly, it has come to light that three individuals had covertly transported Karunamayi to a private hospital in Thrissur, claiming that he had been involved in an unfortunate accident. However, during the subsequent medical examination, it was concluded that Karunamayi had succumbed to fatal injuries sustained during the violent clashes. Karunamayi, a 24-year-old, was known for his involvement in numerous criminal cases, further intensifying the gravity of the situation.

Anthikkad Incident Leaves One Seriously Injured

The third distressing occurrence unfolded in Anthikkad, where yet another individual, Nimesh, was left gravely wounded. As per reports, Nimesh, alongside an accomplice named Shihab, forcefully targeted a young man named Hirat, launching an attack within the confines of his residence. In a gripping twist, it is alleged that Hirat valiantly defended himself, swiftly procuring a knife from his home and inflicting a stab wound upon Nimesh.

The reason for the murder was a dispute during dancing during the Thrissur Moorkanikara Kummati festival. Akhil (28), a native of Mulayam, was stabbed to death in the incident. Vishwajit, Brahmajit, Ananthakrishnan, Akshay, Sriraj and Jishnu were arrested. The incident only happened yesterday. The accused has a criminal background.

Clashes broke out in three places in Thrissur yesterday during the Onam celebrations. Two of them were killed. Akhil of Mannuthi Mulayam and Karunamayi of Nedupuzha were killed. Three people took Karunamayi to a private hospital in Thrissur and returned at four o’clock saying that Karunamayi had met with an accident. It was confirmed that Karunamayi had been killed during the examination at the hospital. 24-year-old Karunamayi is accused in many criminal cases.

The third incident took place in Anthikkad. Nimesh was seriously injured in the incident. Nimesh and Shihab attacked a young man named Hirat in his house. Hirat is said to have taken a knife from the house and stabbed Nimesh.
