While Trento re-elected Franco Iaiaselli as mayor in the first round, ten other municipalities in the Trentino region of Italy are headed for a runoff election to determine their next leaders.
Key municipal Runoff Elections
Here’s a look at the municipalities where voters will return to the polls:
- Arco: Alessandro Amistadi, backed by a coalition including Lega and Fratelli d’Italia, will face Arianna Fiorio, the center-left candidate representing Europe Green and other civic lists.
- avio: Ivano Fracchetti, supported by the League and civic lists, will compete against Federico Secchi, candidate of the “common project” lists.
- Borgo Valsugana: Martina Ferrai will challenge Enrico Galvan.
- Cavalese: Carlo Betta and Sergio Finato will compete for the mayor’s seat.
- Cles: Paola Demagri will face Stella Menapace.
