Music: Amzy, Djeli Karim and Kayawoto competing for the Golden Kundé

The ceremony recognizing the best artist-musicians in Burkina Faso, the Kundé, will take place this year on Wednesday May 8, 2024 in Ouagadougou. The Kundé police station announced this during a press conference, held this Friday, April 12 in the Burkinabe capital. Thus for the Golden Kunde, three artists will be in the running. These are Amzy, Djeli Karim and kayawoto.

A golden generation of Burkinabè music which delights the general commissioner of the Kundé, Salfo Soré known as Jah Press. For whom, Burkinabè youth, very inspired in recent years, make good music. Remember that to win the Golden Kundé, you must “Be a Burkinabè artist or musical group author of at least two (2) albums, the last of which was released and broadcast between March 1, 2023 and February 29, 2024.

The album must be of good technical and artistic quality and have enjoyed commercial and/or media success (media, Internet, broadcast spaces, etc.). The artist must have worked for his promotion through media and non-media actions and demonstrate artistic progression and constant innovation in the organization and management of his career. In terms of statistics, this 22nd edition of the Kundé, there are 1178 musical works in competition including 186 works by female artists.
