Commentary by Nadeshiko’s Japanese captain, Saki Kumagai

“We were supposed to do it in a very cold place, but we’re going to do it in a fairly warm place, so there’s a time difference, and we have to consult the medical staff and find out where we can sleep, and we have to go to the location to find out how much it will make warm. We are taking measures to the best of our ability, and even though time is very short, I think we have no choice but to do what we can.”

“I think it’s very important for the team as a whole to be in an environment where they can focus on the game. Since there are two games, we have extra time to play as a team, not just for the players, but for everyone as a a team and I want to be able to face all this with awareness.”
