Nam Goong Min and Ahn Eun Jin: A Journey to Love and Marriage in MBC’s ‘Lovers’

Nam Goong Min and Ahn Eun Jin embarked on a lengthy journey before finally getting married. In the MBC drama ‘Lovers’, aired on November 4th, Gil-chae (Ahn Eun-jin) moved in with Jong-jong and Da-dam. One night, Gil-chae encountered a woman at the well who was on the verge of throwing herself in. This woman happened to be the one who had stopped him from suicide when they were running away together in Shenyang. Gil-chae brought her home, despite her claims of being kicked out by her family, and welcomed her with food. This act of kindness attracted many orphans to come to Gil-chae’s house. When Gil-chae caught a child stealing food, he made a deal with the child – bring wood in exchange for food. This led to more children coming to his house. Gil-chae sympathized with these children who had lost their parents to barbarians. Meanwhile, in Shenyang, Gak-hwa (Lee Cheong-ah) played baduk with Lee Jang-hyeon (Namgoong Min) and their interactions were always accompanied by archery bets. During one of their games, Lee Jang-hyeon expressed his anger and obsession towards Gak-hwa, which led to a passionate kiss. However, his attitude remained unchanged. It was later revealed that Crown Prince Sohyeon might be returning to Joseon, and Lee Jang-hyeon had hopes of returning with him. He shared the news with Yang Cheon, who excitedly spread the word to everyone. Unfortunately, it was later announced that they couldn’t return as they were not officially released prisoners. Crown Prince Sohyeon was devastated by this news, but Lee Jang-hyeon decided to stay in Shenyang with the other prisoners, believing in his trustworthiness and loyalty. Meanwhile, Gil-chae visited Soyong Jo and showed him a silver jangdo. She revealed that she hadn’t been kicked out by the West but left on her own. She wanted to prove her innocence and remove the label placed on her. Soyong Jo promised to buy the jangdo and asked for a favor in return – to see her daughter, Nari. Lady Soyong Jo informed Gil-chae about Crown Prince Sohyeon’s return, and Gil-chae rushed to Hanyang to meet him. However, Lee Jang-hyeon was nowhere to be found even after the parade ended. Jongjong-i expressed disappointment and doubted the princess of the Qing Dynasty’s motives. But when Jongjong mentioned Gujam, Gil-chae turned her head and saw Lee Jang-hyun, Yang-Eum, and Gu Jam. Lee Jang-hyeon returned to Gil-chae’s old house and confirmed his suspicions. He expressed his loneliness and resentment towards his lack of a hometown. At the same time, Jongjong-i struggled with her daily chores, including fetching water from the well. Gujam consoled her and admitted that he came because she didn’t. This touched Jongjong-i, and she cried, expressing her feelings of neglect. Gujam knew the truth about Gil-chae but couldn’t tell Lee Jang-hyeon. Liang-eum discovered Gil-chae’s situation and visited her. He told her that Lee Jang-hyeon was looking for her, and Gil-chae hesitated to meet Nari. Liang-eum urged her to show that she was living well, so he could leave her alone. Gil-chae agreed reluctantly and attended a gathering, pretending to be pregnant. Lee Jang-hyeon demonstrated his sincerity by buying the kongsiru rice cake that Gil-chae desired. This touched Gil-chae, and she was glad to see his dedication. However, Gujam confessed everything about Gil-chae to Lee Jang-hyeon, which led to a confrontation. Gil-chae appeared at Woosimjeong the next day and listened to Liangyin’s song. Yangeum stopped singing upon seeing Lee Jang-hyeon following Gil-chae. Gil-chae tried to bid farewell, but Jang-hyeon questioned her motives and accused her of deception. Gil-chae pleaded for him not to feel sorry for her and to pretend not to see her. After returning home, Gil-chae took off the fancy clothes and resumed her caretaking duties for the children. Lee Jang-hyeon observed this. In the end, Gujam revealed the truth about Gil-chae, and Lee Jang-hyeon was hurt by her actions. He confronted her and expressed his disappointment. Gil-chae realized she wasn’t deserving of his love and decided to let him go. She returned Liang-eum’s clothes and informed him that Lee Jang-hyeon knew everything. Liang-eum expressed his anger towards Gil-chae’s lack of consideration for Lee Jang-hyeon’s pain. Gil-chae, in turn, realized the source of his anger and felt unworthy of his love. Liang-eum disapproved of her and left. Gil-chae then declared that she didn’t deserve anything from Lee Jang-hyeon. Meanwhile, Liang Yin regarded Gil-chae as an important person in the world and encouraged her to do whatever she pleased. However, Lee Jang-hyeon stopped him from continuing and mentioned his plans to go to the Qing Dynasty to resolve matters with the princess. Liang-eum suggested going back to Uiju before meeting the princess, but Jang-hyeon didn’t reply. Liang Yin expressed his willingness to follow him anywhere. Lee Jang-hyeon went straight to Gil-chae’s house and had a meal together. Gil-chae expressed her joy in serving him freshly cooked rice. Lee Jang-hyeon felt like a husband with her and wished they could live like this forever. Suddenly, the text ends abruptly and leaves the story unfinished.

Nam Goong Min and Ahn Eun Jin took a long journey to finally tie the knot.
In MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama ‘Lovers’, broadcast on November 4, Gil-chae (Ahn Eun-jin) came to live with Jong-jong and Da-dam.

Gilchae went out to the well at night to fetch water and stopped a woman who was about to throw herself. She was the woman who stopped him from throwing herself off a cliff while running away with him in Shenyang. Gilchae brought home the woman who said she had been kicked out of the family, saying, “Let’s eat first.”

Orphans began to flock to Gilchae’s house. When he caught a child stealing food and said to him, “If you bring me wood, I will give you food,” many children came.

Gilchae felt sorry for the children when they said, “Our parents were killed by barbarians.” To Da-saim he said, “Me too!” said Gil-chae, “No!” and he thought of the wild people who were waiting in Shenyang.

Meanwhile, in Shenyang, Gak-hwa (Lee Cheong-ah) was casually playing baduk with Lee Jang-hyeon (Namgoong Min). Every time, Jija Gakhwa made an archery bet.

Lee Jang-hyun, holding the bow, poured out his true feelings. When Lee Jang-hyun said, “I’m so angry and all I can think about is you!” Gak-hwa asked, “You’re angry with me. That means you’ve been thinking a lot about me.” Gak-hwa kissed Jang-hyeon Lee, but his attitude didn’t change.

Soon, news came that Crown Prince Sohyeon (Kim Mu-jun) might return to Joseon. Lee Jang-hyeon believed that he and Crown Prince So-hyeon could all return to Joseon and told Yang Cheon (Choi Moo-sung) the good news.

Yang Cheon said, “The crown prince is returning to Joseon! “We can all go back!” he said, giving everyone good news. However, news came again that they could not be taken because they were not officially returned prisoners, and Crown Prince Sohyeon said, “No! “I made them a promise!” he said in pain.

Lee Jang-hyeon admitted the situation to Yang Cheon and said that he would stay in Shenyang. Yang Cheon said to the Joseon prisoners, “You may not trust the crown prince, but do you trust Lee Jang-hyeon? I also believe in Janghyun Lee! So, I’m waiting too! “If the owners won’t go, I won’t go either!” Then the prisoners also felt relieved, saying, “It is right for you to stay.”

Gilchae went to Soyong Jo (So Yujin) and showed him the silver jangdo. To Soyong Jo, who asked, “You said you were kicked out by the West,” Gilchae replied, “Actually, I walked out, but I’m going to remove it because no one believes me. ”

Mr. laughed. Soyong Jo loudly and said, “If anything bad happens in the palace, I blame myself. “I want to take a picture too,” he said. He said, “I will buy it dearly. But there is something you must do. “

Gilchae heard from Lady Soyong Jo that Crown Prince Sohyeon was returning and ran out on the day he arrived in Hanyang. “They say His Majesty the Crown Prince is coming. Then Gil-chae took Jong-jong out, saying, “Then, Mr. Lee Yeok-gwan and Gu-jam-i…” But even after the parade ended, Lee Jang-hyeon was nowhere to be seen.

Jongjong-i said, “Look. “I heard that the princess of the Qing Dynasty wanted to live there, so why would she come if she could eat well and live well there?” he said, disappointed. However, when Jong-Jong said, “Gujam…,” Gil-Chae turned her head again and saw Lee Jang-Hyun, Yang-Eum (Kim Yun-Woo), and Gu Jam (Park Kang-Seop).

Lee Jang-hyeon, who returned to Hanyang, went to Gil-chae’s old house to check for signs. “Everyone said they were happy to go to their home town. “I don’t have a hometown… sleep well,” Lee Jang-hyeon said and turned away.

At the same time, Jongjongi, who lived without water at her fingertips, had a hard time doing chores for the first time. Jongjong-i, who was whining because he could not even draw water from the well, heard Gujam’s voice say, “If you draw water, it will leak.”

“Is it right for you to leave me? Gujam hugged Jongjong, saying, “I came because you didn’t come!” Jongjongi burst into tears, saying, “You don’t know how I feel.” I knew all the facts about Gujam-in, but I couldn’t tell Lee Jang-hyeon, who said, “I need to check if my wife is okay.” Liang-eum also found out about Gil-chae’s situation and went to her house.

When Liang-eum saw Gil-chae, he told her that Lee Jang-hyeon was looking for her. When Gil-chae asked, “Do you want me to meet Nari?” Liang-eum replied, “I don’t want to.” But I want Nari to meet Madam. “Before that, Madam, please meet Sari.” To Gil-chae, who hesitated, Liang-eum said, “You don’t want to show this side of yourself right now, do you? “You have to show me you’re living well for me to quit,” she said.

Liang Eum’s plan was to show her life as Gu Won-mu’s wife. Lee Jang-hyeon forced himself to hide his bitter feelings upon seeing Gil-chae appear, pretending to be pregnant and full.

He showed his sincerity by running to the kongsiru rice cake that Gilchae wanted to eat and buy it for him. Gil-chae was glad to see that he was sincere even when he said it out loud.

Lee Jang-hyeon said, “I’ll be singing with people I know, so please come. “This is my last request,” he said. Having heard that this was his last request, Gilchae agreed and rode in the palanquin.

Upon returning, Gilchae changed back into her shabby clothes and tended to the children. Janghyun Lee was watching that.

In the end Gujam confessed everything about Gilchae. Gujam said, “Aren’t you smiling now? “If Nari comes forward, the laughter will disappear,” he said, stopping Lee Jang-hyun.

The next day, Gilchae, who appeared in Woosimjeong, listened to Liangyin’s song and burst out thinking about the past. Yangeum stopped singing when he saw Lee Jang-hyeon following Gilchae.

Gilchae said, “I said I wouldn’t cause any trouble. “I’m glad I was able to keep my promise,” he said as he tried to say goodbye. In the end, Janghyun Lee said, “How long have you been planning to deceive me?” “I was foolish. “You have to fool the person you want to fool,” Gil-chae told Jang-hyeon Lee, “Don’t feel sorry and pretend you won’t see me.”

After returning home, Gil-chae gave the clothes back to Liang-eum and told him that Lee Jang-hyeon knew everything. Liang-eum said, “That’s amazing. “You,” he sneered.

“Madam, pride was the most important thing again today. “You didn’t even care about Lee Jang-hyeon’s pain,” Liang-eum said, expressing his anger. “I don’t want Lee Jang-hyun to get hurt because of a woman like you. It was then that Gilchae realized the reason for his anger upon hearing Liangyin’s words, “I am.,,,,!”

“You are not eligible. “I don’t deserve to be loved, and I don’t deserve to be ignored,” Liang-eum said in anger. “You don’t deserve anything from Lee Jang-hyeon!” Gil-chae muttered, looking at Yang-eum’s back leaving, “What do you know?”

Liang Yin, who returned to Wusimjeong, said, “That woman is an important person in the world. “You can do whatever you want,” he said. Lee Jang-hyeon cut off Liang-eum’s words, saying, “Be careful what you say.”

“I’m now coming with the great saint. “And then I will go to the Qing Dynasty and finish the matter with the princess,” said Lee Jang-hyeon. When Liang-eum asked, “What did you say to the princess?” Lee Jang-hyeon said, “You said to go under the princess. But things have changed. “At that time, I didn’t know that Mrs. Yoo divorced.”

Liang Yin said, “So? “Us?” he said, but Lee Jang-hyun didn’t answer. Liang Yin said, “Can’t we go back to him before we meet that woman? “With the big castle in our Uiju,” he said.

Lee Jang-hyeon said, “Liang Eum. I could die for you But now I want to live for her. “And I will not let anyone who disturbs me on a day like this get away.” Liang Yin said, “Then I will go too. You live for that woman. “I’ll follow you wherever you go,” Lee Jang-hyun said, but he got up without answering.

Lee Jang-hyun went straight to Gilchae’s house and had a meal. Gilchae set the table, saying, “I wanted to serve a meal of freshly cooked rice.”

Lee Jang-hyun was happy and said, “I feel like a husband when we’re together like this.” “Now I can live like this for 10,000,000 years. “Now there is nothing between us.”

Lee Jang-hyeon said, “Poor Gil-chae, rich Gil-chae, mischievous Gil-chae, Gil-chae who doesn’t love me, and Gil-chae who loves me. Anything. “I just need to get out,” he said. When Gil-chae said, “Then Gil-chae, who was abused by a barbarian…” Lee Jang-hyeon said, “You should hug her. “It must be painful,” he said, hugging her.

“It’s all over now. Do not worry. “I’ll be by your side now,” Lee Jang-hyun said, hugging Gil-chae tightly. “Not once since the day I met you. “I’ve never wanted anyone else,” Lee Jang-hyun said, kissing Gil-chae.

Viewers shed tears over the difficult relationship between Lee Jang-hyun and Gil-chae. There were enthusiastic responses such as “I have to hug you, the lines are crazy”, “Gilchae’s hardships are beyond words”, “I endured to see this”, “I hope there is only happiness left” “.
